About TES

TES is specialist provider of high tier, secure and sophisticated radio systems to support mission critical activities of some of the UKs best known and most prestigious organisations.

Recently we have designed and deployed radio solutions for clients such as the MOD (including a site wide system at HMNB Clyde, the home of the British Nuclear Submarine Fleet) and West Midland Combined Authority (being a multi-site wide area safety critical system to support Midland Metro operations as part of a £1.2BN investment in public transport across the midlands region). To see the calibre and range of the work we do feel free to look here.

TES is an independent company and is widely known as the UKs most technically competent radio systems experts. TES does not compete for business based upon price, we let the quality of our work represent who we are and enjoy enduring relationships with our broad family of clients.

TES believe that best quality outcomes for our clients are a direct product of our happy and productive team. We enjoy our work and our focus on technical ability is supported by a strong sense of teamwork, pride in what we do, and the respect for a strong work life balance.

We focus on building the very best environment for everyone to thrive. Every team member is unique, enjoys an individual training and development plan guided and limited only by their own aspiration.

We enjoy a strong sense of teamwork, both professionally and socially, and we work to a clear set of behaviours and values that align with our mission to be the communications partner of choice to clients who value quality, expertise and professionalism.

Opportunity

TES seek a Senior Digital Trunked Radio Systems Engineer to join our growing team.

Our order book for a number of multi-site wide-area integrated radio systems provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to take the lead in RF design, digital trunked radio system design & configuration, independent and duplicated data backhaul solution configuration and deployment, overall system installation and commissioning, and working closely with clients in the provision of training and general advice.

If you have faced the challenge of deploying complex digital radio solutions, we want to hear from you. We would love to chat about how you overcame the challenge of finding good repeater sites with appropriate overlapping coverage and how you assessed the quality of that coverage; how you built the bill of materials for the radio infrastructure based on a client specification and how you ensured the OFCOM and software product licensing was all in order; how you documented your work including FDS/FAT/SAT; how you developed a plan for site deployment and how you worked with stakeholders to make it all happen. Most of all we want to hear about the elements of being a radio engineer that you enjoy the most.

You will hold a senior role in the organisation and will influence how our company evolves and develops. You will have a positive attitude to work and enjoy being a radio systems engineer. Your natural personality will fit with our key behavioural requirements including self-motivation in delivering outcomes, working together and being approachable with a “can do” attitude, communicating with impact, being resilient to changing needs and responsibilities, and acting with honesty, integrity and emotional awareness.

Everyone is an individual and a product of our unique opportunities and experiences. Let us see who you are, send us a copy of your CV and we will go from there. Alternatively feel free to ask us any questions by emailing Clare at Clare.OConnor@tesradio.com.
